The Kerrie James Art Award 2009: The Winners

 


As part of the annual Artscape Show at Pimlico State high School, on the opening evening of Friday 23rd October the first winners of this annual award were announced. Works needed to be on the topic, 'Townsville - My Home, My People' (poster)

The quality of the entries for this inaugural award was extremely high. In the end the judges chose works by

  • Selina Hopkins (Year 11) for her work, 'Self portrait' - First prize
  • Tahni Douglas (Year 12), for her work, 'Faces of Townsville'- Second prize
  • Peggy Wakelin-Snoad (Year 12), for her work 'Reflections' -Third Prize
