City Link buses (Tel: 08705 505050)run a service from Glasgow to The Isle of Skye. Although the only official stop through Glen Shiel is at Cluanie Inn, drivers seem to be willing to stop at points through the glen to drop off walkers. Of course, this is entirely at their discretion.

These times given below apply to the period from 17/10/99 to 20/04/00, but I imagine changes for the spring and summer could only increase services.

The fare between Cluanie Inn and Shiel Bridge is not cheap (around £5 day return for a total journey of only 15 miles!), but may be your only option if you have no other transport. Hitching is possible, but not reliable if you want an early start on the hill!
